Cowboy Kidd (c.b. Kidd) is the non de plume of a Brooklyn-based multi-media artist focusing on portrait, candid, and concert photography. Most of his work emphasizes on the intimacy and emotions of the performer instead of the actual act of performance. He admires many famous photographers such as Irving Penn, Chris Stein, Michael Lavine, Roberta Bayley and Mick Rock  Music and film are second passions and contribute a consistent inspiration to their work. The main focus of Kidd's images is to capture vulnerability and intimacy in people, places and things that would not be considered conventional to most. Outside of his personal projects, c.b. Kidd works as a freelance PA and a photographer for non-profits (Garden State Equality, LEAP! NYC), behind the scenes, private clients, and concerts at iconic venues such as Racket, Carnagie Hall, Music Hall of Williamsburg, The Town Hall, Brooklyn Steel,Rough Trade, Market Hotel and Mercury Lounge. During the 2020 Covid 19 Lockdown c.b. Kidd parted ways working as a full-time production coordinator at  Be Electric Studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn. He now works in Marketing for a Saas/B2b startup in the NYC Metro area. When he is not shooting he is playing guitar and bass in New York based bands such as Gesserit, Scout Gillet, Lily Mao and The Resonators, Modern Flame,& Tine Hill. Cowboy has worked with labels such as Capture Tracks and A Diamond Heart Productions as well as producers - Nick Kinsey, Vanessa Silberman and Drew Vanderberg. c.b. Kidd is always looking for projects and collaborations in the Tri-State area.
