Cowboi Kidd (c.b. Kidd) is the non de plume of a Brooklyn-based multi-media artist focusing on portrait, candid, and concert photography. Most of their work emphasizes on the intimacy and emotions of the performer instead of the actual act of performance. They admire many famous photographers such as Irving Penn, Chris Stein, Michael Lavine, Roberta Bayley and CJ Harvey. Music and film are second passions and contribute a consistent inspiration to their work. The main focus of Kidd's images is to capture vulnerability and intimacy in people, places and things that would not be considered conventional to most. Outside of their personal projects, c.b. Kidd works as a freelance PA and a photographer for non-profits (Garden State Equality, LEAP! NYC), behind the scenes, private clients, and concerts at iconic venues such as Music Hall of Williamsburg, The Town Hall, Brooklyn Steel,Rough Trade, Market Hotel and Mercury Lounge. Recently c.b. Kidd parted ways working as a full-time Studio Technician and Bookings Assistant Be Electric Studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn. They are looking for work opportunities in the Tri-State area.
